I approach my life and art as a skeptic, questioning conventional wisdoms and trusting in what is a shifting set of beliefs. Human behavior suggests violence is often inevitable means of challenging opposing ideas, and war is the expression of this. My work looks for balance between images of terror or violence and totally unrelated, irrelevant visions.. In presenting these disparate images I am attempting to arouse, confuse and challenge the viewer, hopefully raising questions about the nature of the violent act depicted. One of the constants of contemporary living now is that war is constant and in response, everyone picks their own poison in order to exist.
